“Every Day Keri Joy”
During a walk through the Santa Cruz Mountains, surrounded by ancient redwoods and that familiar hush of forest wisdom, Erik took a photo of me and casually said, “Every Day Keri Joy.” The phrase just landed. It was one of those moments when someone sees you so clearly, it reflects something back you didn’t know needed a name. And there it was: Every Day Keri Joy—my version of EDC, or “Every Day Carry.”
Kind of like how men have their EDC/Every Day Carry of pocket knives and lighters and leather keychains, it’s how I carry myself through the world.
It’s in how I move, how I speak, how I soften.
It’s in what I wear and why I wear it.
It’s about choosing to feel good—grounded, embodied, sovereign—every single day.
For the past five years, every shoe I’ve worn has been grounded—whether boots, flip flops, or sneakers. I only buy shoes from brands that help me stay connected to the earth, especially when I can’t be barefoot. And when I fall in love with a pair that aren’t grounded? My partner, Erik grounds them for me. (He’s truly a jack of everything.) It’s the little things like that—being supported in my convictions—that makes life feel aligned.
Natural fabrics have become one of my non-negotiables. I don’t just wear clothes—I live in them. So I wear wool and organic cotton in fall and winter, leather for accessories that age well with time. And now that spring’s here and it’s getting warmer, I swap out my wool for linen, always keeping breathable cotton close to my skin—even with undergarments (when I wear them, that is).
Every day, I wear my EMF pendant to help keep my field strong. EMF is something I’ve become incredibly aware of over the years, and I believe it plays a much bigger role in modern sickness than we’re led to believe. It’s not the germs. It’s the interference.
My mission in this life?
To feel as good as I can, as often as I can—
So I can do as good as I can while I’m here,
And have as much fun as I possibly can.
Because fun is medicine.
Joy is a frequency.
And nature is my pharmacy, my prayer mat, my muse.
This feral, grounded lifestyle—the wild roots and the handmade touches, the barefoot mornings and the intentional choices—it's not about “aesthetic.” It’s about alignment. It’s about choosing presence and pleasure over pressure and programming. And that, to me, is the essence of Every Day Keri Joy.
